Harvey Glen Powell, age 96, passed away on Tuesday. March 13, 2018 in Gallatin, TN.

Harvey was born in Difficult, TN on November 22, 1921, and presently resided in Hendersonville, TN. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernice Tibbs Powell on October 11, 2017 age 94. He was the son of Charlie and Bessie Donoho Powell of Castalian Springs, TN.

Mr. Powell served in the United States Army, and was formerly employed by the TVA and Harvey’s department store.

A visitation for family and friends was held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, 2018 beginning at 11:30 a.m. Graveside service followed at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Nashville, TN.

Harvey Powell was a regular at Tennessee State Open, Southern Open, Illinois State, Illinois 101, West Tennessee Open Strawberry Festival, and he actively frequented on-line play as his health allowed up into his early 90's.
